Indian Institute of Management Rohtak successfully organized its 15th Annual Convocation, celebrating the academic achievements and future aspirations of its graduating students. On this occasion, more than 300 students were awarded the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, 66 students received the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, and one scholar was conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Gyanendra Pratap Singh, Director General of CRPF. He was joined by Board of Governors member R P Meena and Dheeraj Sharma, Director of IIM Rohtak.

The convocation recognized both academic excellence and overall performance. Shivansh Dhar received the Gold Medal for scholastic performance, while Angels Batra and Amarendra Panda were awarded the Silver and Bronze Medals respectively. Ashwin Santhanam received the All-Round Performance Medal for his outstanding contribution in academics and co-curricular activities. More than 10 students were also awarded scholarships for their excellent performance.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated the graduates and emphasized that leadership comes with responsibility. He stated that success should not be limited to personal achievements but should contribute to nation-building. He encouraged students to stay grounded, respect their families and teachers, and view global challenges as opportunities to contribute towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Speaking on behalf of the Board, R P Meena appreciated the institute’s performance and noted that with AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation, IIM Rohtak is among the top 2% business schools globally. He highlighted that the convocation reflects not only academic success but also resilience and growth of the students.

Director Dheeraj Sharma presented the annual report and highlighted key achievements of the institute. He stated that despite challenging economic conditions, the institute maintained 100% placement, with participation from over 200 recruiters. Leading companies such as BlackRock, IBM, Infosys, Tata Steel, Morgan Stanley, SAP, and PolicyBazaar visited the campus.

He further added that the institute recorded an average annual salary of over ₹20 lakh, reflecting strong academic quality and industry alignment. He emphasized that true leadership begins with self-awareness and ethical decision-making.

The convocation also highlighted IIM Rohtak’s innovation in management education. The institute is the first among IIMs to introduce a five-year Integrated Programme in Law (BBA + LLB), along with a PG Diploma in Sports Management and an Integrated Programme in Management (BBA + MBA).

In addition, the institute has undertaken several consulting projects in collaboration with government bodies such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Tourism, Department of Consumer Affairs, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Training programs in data analytics, digital transformation, and leadership development are also conducted for government officials and corporate professionals.

The convocation marked not just the completion of academic journeys but also the beginning of a new chapter for the graduates, who are now ready to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
