Rohtak, Haryana:
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak marked a significant milestone as it hosted the 10th edition of TEDx IIM Rohtak on 23 November 2025. With the theme “Learn, Unlearn, Relearn,” the event brought together over 1,600 students and an impressive roster of speakers who shared thought-provoking insights on leadership, resilience, and personal growth. The landmark edition reflected the institute’s expanding intellectual influence and its dedication to fostering transformative conversations.
The event featured prominent personalities from diverse fields including administration, defence research, social entrepreneurship, sports, creative arts, and public policy. Speakers such as Dr. Satya Pal Singh, Vivek Atray, Ashok Deshmane, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Gulsheen Anand, Gurmangal Dass, Prafful Garg, Pratishtha Deveshwar, Preeti Dimri, Shivam S. Khajuria, and Vikram Kochhar shared powerful narratives centred on reinvention, adaptability, and purpose-driven change.
Delivering a keynote address, Dr. Satya Pal Singh spoke on leadership rooted in integrity and evolution. Reflecting on his expansive career in policing and public service, he emphasised that learning gives direction, unlearning brings liberation, and relearning restores purpose. He urged students to cultivate curiosity, character, and the courage to adapt—qualities he described as essential for the next generation of Indian leaders.
Motivational speaker Vivek Atray encouraged young professionals to step outside comfort zones and adopt lifelong learning as a disciplined habit. He highlighted innovation, fearlessness, and openness to change as indispensable virtues in an increasingly dynamic world.
Welcoming the speakers and attendees, Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, Director of IIM Rohtak, described TEDx as a defining student-driven initiative that enriches the institute’s academic ethos. He noted that the event’s theme aligns with India’s deep-rooted tradition of continuous learning and self-reflection. While modern management theories stress learning agility, he said its essence has always existed within India's cultural and philosophical heritage.
Throughout the sessions, speakers offered compelling accounts of personal reinvention, early-life struggles, academic pressures, career shifts, and community-driven transformation. Many thanked IIM Rohtak for providing a platform that encourages genuine dialogue about courage, adaptability, and meaningful change.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Sharma reiterated that true leadership is an ongoing discipline—to learn with humility, unlearn with courage, and relearn with purpose.
